Hi All

Just thought I would also add my 2 cents as AxCrypt 1.x was way up on my essential software list. However I agree with Hajo that FORCING everyone to use a general password is ridiculous! There are several reasons why I could not use the new version and its very sad that the developer has taken this limited/restricted approach.

Also, one very big turn off with the new version is that it is forcing you to unnecessarily “trust” that it is doing other things correctly else all your files become compromised! AES encryption is already a very secure private key encryption algorithm and all many people need was an option to encrypt a file – not to trust the software to do other fancy stuff and hope that the additional processes are also secure.

Please bring back an option to just encrypt a file with any password – you can’t get any simpler than that – and sell the other fancy stuff.
