I made a boneheaded mistake: I had a word document encrypted with AxCrypt 1.7. which I accidentally deleted. Normally, when I do this with a word document, I have some prospect of finding temp files Microsoft Word leaves behind and etc. to recover some of my work. I thought I’d try the same here, but I don’t know enough about the interaction of AxCrypt with Word:
Where would those temp files be? I didn’t unencrypt the document to work on it, I just double clicked the .axx file. I assume there was a temp file and a working directory somewhere, but I have no idea where. Help would be appreciated. I’m still kicking myself for messing this up.
