    I’m trying to recover some files from a crashed external drive.
    None of the recovery software I’ve used recognises the .axx file extension.
    Any suggestions welcomed.

    I have one piece of software where I can create my own search parameters but it needs the Start Bytes and the Offset Bytes to complete the definition.
    Does anybody know what values these have?

    The start bytes are:

    C0 B9 07 2E 4F 93 F1 46 A0 15 79 2C A1 D9 E8 21

    Thanks Stephen,

    It’s the same start bytes for the legacy version 1 as well, so it should work for all AxCrypt-files.
