I just started evaluating AxCrypt and ran into this scenario:
1. Create two identical copies of the same file
2. Encrypt first copy using the password created online
3. Change online password
4. Encrypt the second copy using the new password
My understanding was that I should not be able to decrypt the first copy because it was encrypted with the old password. However, both copies are getting decrypted – the one that was encrypted with the current password and the one that was encrypted with the old password.
Please explain why the latest password is able to decrypt the file that was encrypted with the old password.
