Key files don’t exist in AxCrypt 2.

The premium version offers AES-256 which is more secure than AxCrypt 1 which only offers AES-128.

If you use a sufficiently long password in AxCrypt (whether v1 or v2) then a key file is unnecessary.

In other words you’re just as secure without a key file providing you don’t use a short, easily guessable password.
