I created an Axcrypt file on a Windows10 PC but it is not recognised as such and cannot be decrypte! Strangely the file has an Axcrypt icon and the extension “.axx”.  The Error Message is always:  It is “not an Axcrypt file.”

    Hello Jos,

Look at the file properties (right-click in Explorer), and if you can send both a screen shot of that and the actual error message from AxCrypt.

    Good evening, Svante!

I have now the two screenshots requested but how can I email them to you?   (I’m afraid I cannot attach them to this link, can I?  How?) Or I’ll try and send them to you via the email address:

    Okay?  Please stand by, Svante.

    Many thanks!
