Really wish you had a tutorial video. I have to cancel because I can’t figure out what should be simple things, like how to apply a password to a whole external hard drive or even one folder on an external hard drive.

Whoever comes up with a 1-2-3 step folder encrypter/password protect will have a winner.

This app seems like it was made for the people that made it only. Put yourself in the position of someone that doesn’t know as much as you and then make an interface that makes it simple (or at least simply explains what steps to take for the basic functions that most people want (like how to encrypt/password protect a folder instead of only individual files).

    Hello Keith,

You are missing out on our Video tutorial. See our video tutorial below.

AxCrypt 2.x use a single sign on model where the same password is used to sign in to our servers and to protect your files.

AxCrypt is a file encryption software not a drive encryption software. But you can encrypt the Drive folder/file(S) using AxCrypt Secured folder features.

    AxCrypt Secured Folder:

AxCrypt secures files, individually. However, you can designate folders as ‘secured’. The folders will be monitored for new files, and AxCrypt will secure all new files with a single click, or when you sign out.

You can also select multiple files, including all files in a folder, to be secured in a single operation. They still remain individual files, and the folder itself is not secured, just the files in it.

If the file in fact is located in a folder designated as “Secured”, it will soon be re-encrypted again since those folders are monitored for unencrypted files and will encrypt them when you sign out, or click the “Broom” clean up icon.

AxCrypt 2 uses a more robust method for the automatic re-encryption, which sometimes means you as the user have to tell AxCrypt to do it. You’ll see this by the “broom” icon becoming red. This indicates there’s something in need of “clean up”, i.e. re-encryption.

AxCrypt 2 comes with the newly improved and user-friendly user interface, account management(subscription information, password change and etc.) and more additional features.

Please check out our video tutorials at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoSoXBjq6iCG5232fHoWStA and our other documentation at https://www.axcrypt.net/information/get-started/ to get started with AxCrypt.

still, you are facing any issue/query, please provide more information about the issue and write a mail to support@axcrypt.net.
